Alex van Klaveren is the owner of Oxalex. The name was created when he was working as market trader and a nurseryman of fixed plants. He derived this name from a combination of his own and a plant called “Oxalis”, which is Latin for a four lucky leaf clover.
Alex could be considered as being graced by the four leaf clover himself. He spent a portion of his live in and out of several hospitals but has overcome this and been declared completely healthy. Therefore he spends his time trying to enjoy the good things in life. He himself owns the “luxury sailyacht My fair lady”.
Due to his own experiences he became the chairman and sponsor of a foundation called ‘One fine day’.
Stichting One fine day arranges sailing trips for Special Needs Children. These trips are completely free of charge, and are designed to give these kids one fine day!
